We dancers are coming together from all genres of dance (Salsa, Swing, Contemporary, etc…) to learn some super simple beginner dips and tricks for partner dancing & choreography!
We will meet in the studio where we will have a soft learning surface, matting, and an experienced gymnastics coach to oversee technique and safety!

Lifts will be beginner-friendly. The photos presented above are for visual effect and advertising purposes only and do not depict the exact lifts/tricks that we will learn in class!
Class will include a warm-up, dynamic stretch session to prepare for the movement, followed by instruction on 2-5 different tricks/dips/lifts.
Note: Not all lifts and tricks learned here are appropriate for social dancing and are better suited for choreography. We stress that you not try lifts and tricks at local social events that do not allow lifts & tricks and that you use caution when preforming the dips/tricks that are simple enough to be used in social dancing. Lifts, dips, and tricks should only be attempted with consenting follows who are proficient in the trick specifically with you as a lead. You should never surprise a follow with a random lift, dip, or trick that contains any amount of trust with weight reliance, catching, releasing, or involving both feet to leave the floor. Dip, lift, and trick etiquette will be discussed prior to class.
