Canstruction 2026

Discovery Park will be hosting the 8th annual Canstruction Jr. on Monday, February 2nd, 2026. This year’s theme is “Game Over for Hunger – Rated E for Everyone” and is open to students 10 to 18 years of age. This is your chance to bring video games to life for a great cause. Thanks to our generous sponsors schools will each receive $1000 to purchase canned food items for their sculptures. Teams are also allowed to host canned food drives and fundraisers if additional cans are needed.

On the day of the event, teams will bring their cans to Discovery Park of America to assemble their sculptures in a 7’ L x 7’ W x 7’ H area within a 3-hour time period. The sculptures will be judged and awards presented for Best of Show, Best Use of Labels, Most Creative, Structural Ingenuity and Judge’s Favorite. The sculptures will remain on exhibit in the ATA room through February. Participating Teams will receive a free lunch.

Each team will design and build a 3-D structure using only canned goods and other limited, approved materials.
