Join us for a seasonal adventure along the scenic trails of Limestone Cove in Unicoi, TN!

This unique series takes us along the same path in every season so we can witness how plants, foliage, fungi, and wildlife change throughout the year. You can join us for just one walk or all of them!

⏰ Duration: 4 hours

What to Expect
We’ll hike up the trail, then back down, and finish by exploring the picnic area to meet plants in different elevations and ecosystems. After the hike, we’ll enjoy lunch at the picnic area before a short stroll along the creekside.

About Your Guides
Kat Hayes is the owner and director of HERBalachia, a graduate of the Lifestyle Program, and a lifelong herbal student. She attends the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage in the Great Smoky Mountains every year and loves bringing that same joy of discovery to Northeast Tennessee.

Phil is a local musician, and serves as music coordinator for the Sassafras Moon Herbal Festival. An instructor with HERBalachia, Phil blends his love for nature, music, and community. Known affectionately as the “Kat Herder” on plant walks, he brings humor, insight, and a deep connection to the land through his studies in biodynamics and practice of plant spirit medicine.

Phil & Kat have been enjoying plant walks together since their days as classmates. They’re excited to share the fun, curiosity, and plant knowledge with you!
