Stanley Brinks used to play in the band Herman Düne. After their major label hit record GIANT (2006) he left the band and started recording solo stuff. It is distinctly similar to Herman Düne - naive, charming, clean and very unique folk pop with heavy calypso influences. If Jonathan Richman was a true,  world weary cosmopolitan, living in Europe, dreaming of Trinidad, with a love of all sorts of booze and wine, you'd have Stanley Brinks. FRESCHARD is singing catchy folk pop songs in English with a very distinct french accent. It is as charming and soulful and unpretentious as it can get. Stanley and Freschard have collaborated on dozens and dozens of albums and toured the world for decades in true DIY fashion. This is their second visit to Umeå. Expect good times, calypso, and superb guitar licks.

TRIO IGLOO 
I have actually heard Tor Lundmark, the singer/songwriter of this trio, being described as "The Jonathan Richman of northern Sweden", which is very fitting for this line up. Quirky, down to earth pop music sung in Swedish.

This show will be in my house at Marmorvägen 18. Probably amplified and in the basement. There will be refreshments. The entrance is 150 SEK.
