- **Event Description**: This holiday season, Umatilla Parks and Recreation invites you to help us bring warmth, joy, and support to a local family through our Hope for the Holidays Drive.

We’re asking YOU—our community—to nominate a local family who could use a little extra cheer this December. Whether they’ve had a tough year, faced unexpected challenges, or simply need a helping hand, we want to hear their story.

1.Nominate a Family
– Fill out our short nomination form at Umatilla City Hall
– Nominations accepted through Nov. 7

2.We Select a Family to Support
-Our Parks & Rec team will review nominations privately and select a family.

3.We Decorate the Giving Tree
-Each ornament or tag on the tree will represent a wish or need from the chosen family—gifts, clothing, groceries, and essentials.

4.Community Members Pick a Tag and Give
-Stop by City Hall between Nov 12 – Dec 5 pick a tag, and return the item wrapped by December 8
-All donations will go directly to the selected family, just in time for the holidays.

Esta temporada navideña, Parques y Recreación de Umatilla te invita a ayudarnos a llevar alegría y apoyo a una familia local a través de nuestra campaña Esperanza para las Fiestas.
Te estamos pidiendo a TI, nuestra comunidad, que nomines a una familia local que pueda necesitar un poco de alegría extra este Diciembre. Ya sea que hayan tenido un año difícil, enfrentado desafíos inesperados o simplemente necesiten una mano, queremos conocer su historia.

1.Nomina a una familia
-Completa nuestro breve forma de nominación en el Ayuntamientode de Umatilla
-Las nominaciones se aceptan hasta el 7 de Noviembre

2.Seleccionamos una familia para apoyar
– Nuestro equipo de Parques y Recreación revisará las nominaciones en privado y seleccionará una familia.

3.Decoramos el Árbol de la Generosidad
– Cada adorno o etiqueta en el árbol representará un deseo o necesidad de la familia elegida — regalos, ropa, alimentos y artículos esenciales.

4.Los miembros de la comunidad eligen una etiqueta y dan
-Visita el Ayuntamiento entre el 12 de Noviembre y el 5 de Diciembre para elegir una etiqueta y devuelve el artículo envuelto antes del 8 de Diciembre
– Todas las donaciones se entregarán directamente a la familia seleccionada, justo a tiempo para las fiestas.
