Mendocino Ballet warmly invites you to celebrate our 40th year of presenting this beloved holiday tradition at Mendocino College Center Theater on December 19, 20, and 21. For four decades, families have gathered with us to experience the magic of The Nutcracker, and we are honored to share this milestone season with our community.
The Nutcracker Story:
The evening begins in the festive home of the Stahlbaum family, where holiday cheer fills the air and life-size dolls delight the guests. As the night unfolds, a thrilling battle erupts between mice, bats, and toy soldiers, leading to the Nutcracker’s transformation into a handsome prince.
Clara then journeys with him through the shimmering Land of Snow and into the enchanting Kingdom of Sweets, where dancers from faraway places perform in honor of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
With beautiful costumes, inspired choreography, and the heartwarming magic that has defined our performances for 40 years, this production promises to delight audiences of all ages and make this anniversary season truly unforgettable.
