Celebrate National Dogs in Yellow Day with us on 20th March!
Join our free, wildlife-friendly, group dog walk open to dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes. You’ll learn easy tips for enjoying calm, stress free and enriching walks for both you and your dog on Ashdown Forest and beyond.
The walk will last around an hour, with stops along the way where you will have the opportunity to try out some different activities with your dog.
We want to welcome all dogs on this walk, some of whom may not be fans of other dogs or people in their personal space. For this reason, we request that all dogs must remain on a short lead or long line at all times, and must not approach any other dogs without consent from the other dog’s owner first. Please do not bring extendable leads.
While we will do all we can to make you and your dog feel comfortable during this walk, please bear in mind that Ashdown Forest is open to the public and we may come across off-lead dogs, wildlife and horses. If you have any concerns about whether this walk will be suitable for you and your dog, please feel free to get in touch at
Y29uc2VydmF0b3JzIHwgYXNoZG93bmZvcmVzdCAhIG9yZw== or 01342 823 583.
We will be doing some scent work and other tasks during the walk, so please bring along some high value treats or toys for your dog.
💩 Please pick up after your dog! Dog waste can cause serious infections to people and other animals; it changes the chemistry of the Forest soils and spoils the surroundings for everyone else. Please carry bags and take your rubbish away with you.
