Living The Heart Sutra with Revati
📅 Date: Thursday, November 27th
🕖 Time: 7:00 PM
📍 Venue: Usada Bali, Jl. Sugriwa No.4, Ubud, Bali
How can ancient Buddhist wisdom help us meet the challenges of modern life with more clarity, compassion, and resilience? In this conversational talk, we’ll explore the essence of the Chinese Heart Sutra — one of the most profound and poetic teachings in Mahayana Buddhism. Through the themes of emptiness, interconnection, and non-attachment, we’ll reflect on how these timeless insights can be meaningfully applied in our personal and professional lives.
The session includes an introduction to the Heart Sutra, a talk on integrating its philosophy into everyday situations, and an open Q&A to support deeper understanding. Whether you're new to Buddhist teachings or simply curious, this space invites reflection, dialogue, and grounded exploration.
About Revati:
Born in Taiwan and raised in Canada, Anand Revati has lived between worlds — from Buddhist temples, fortune-telling masters, and Chinese medicine to Anglican rituals, Western psychotherapy, and existential philosophy. In this talk, she bridges these traditions through the Heart Sutra, exploring the Heart as the center of human existence — the bridge between the tangible world of experience and the ineffable realm of consciousness that lies beyond the mind’s grasp and the body’s senses.
Drawing from Xuanzang’s profound interpretation, Revati will guide a journey into the Heart’s vast dimensions, where East meets West, wisdom meets presence, and intellect meets devotion. Join us for a reflective evening of insight, dialogue, and embodied understanding of what it means to truly live the Heart Sutra.
