The Ivy Legacy Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s Gamma Omicron Omega Chapter, is excited to announce the Black History Knowledge Bowl on February 21, 2026, at 8:00 am at Boulter Middle School, located at 2926 Garden Valley Road in Tyler, Texas. The Ivy Legacy Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. The mission of the Foundation includes raising and receiving funds for scholarships, educational and charitable purposes, as well as promoting educational programs for the betterment of our local community.
The Black History Knowledge Bowl has a long history in Tyler, Texas. It was initiated by Operation STEP in 1988, led by two educators, Connie Griffin Isabell and Judy McMillan Holman. Since its launch in 1988, it has continued to educate the Tyler community about the excellence of African Americans. This year, The Ivy Legacy Foundation, Inc. is delighted to continue the tradition of honoring our ancestors and inspiring the youth who will be tomorrow's leaders.
