In celebration of my wife's upcoming 40th birthday, we are teaming up with St. Clare's to gather items to make low-cost birthday cake kits to be donated to East Texas Food Bank. Our goal is to gather enough supplies to make 40 cakes for this milestone 40th birthday! 

We are inviting the community to donate supplies or funds for supplies and join us on July 11, 2026, at St. Clare's from 11:00am-1:00pm to build these cake kits together. 

Here is a sign up sheet to pledge items to donate and there is also a link to donate funds directly through the St. Clare's Discretionary Fund. As you know, this page was very vocal about the loss of access to treats via SNAP here in Texas. Every person deserves a treat on their birthday.
