I am a biologist with a huge passion in conservation, coastal ecology, and animal rescue/rehabilitation. My career has led me to a variety of opportunities from being a veterinary technician, participating in sea turtle nesting and stranding field work, assisting in marine mammal necropsies, and leading groups on excursions through the marsh and maritime forest. My admiration for the wildlife around me started at a super young age and continued to grow into my adult years. I was lucky enough to grow up in a home with a dad who loved herping and taught me to always leave any wild place we were, better than we found it, and a mom who is a dedicated teacher and Science Olympiad coach. The combination of my mom and dad created me, a person who knew they wanted to speak up for the environment, but not in a traditional classroom. One of the most important things I have learned during my career is that without education, conservation goals will never be met.
