Race Overview Approximate Distances 🚲 Bike: 14 miles 🏃 Run: 4–5 miles 🛶 Paddle: 2–3 miles 🏁 Start/Finish: Neshotah Beach Distances are approximate. This is an adventure race, so your actual running and paddling distance may vary depending on the route you choose. The Adventure LEG 1 — BIKE Neshotah Beach → Point Beach State Forest → Neshotah Beach Approximately 14 miles The race begins at Neshotah Beach. Participants will bike north toward Point Beach State Forest using the designated race route, including the Rawley Point Trail. The Rawley Point Trail is primarily a hard-packed crushed limestone/gravel trail. Participants should choose a bicycle appropriate for these conditions. Unlike the running and paddling portions of the race, racers must follow the designated bicycle route. At the designated checkpoint in Point Beach State Forest, racers must retrieve the required race medallion before returning by bike to Neshotah Beach. LEG 2 — RUN Neshotah Beach → Veterans Park Boat Launch Approximately 4–5 miles total during the race. There is no single designated running route between Neshotah Beach and Veterans Park. Instead, racers will use the race map provided on the morning of the event to locate required medallion checkpoints. The locations of these medallions will not be revealed before race morning. Participants may choose their own route between checkpoints, provided they remain on legal and publicly accessible routes and follow all race rules. All required running medallions must be collected before proceeding through the race. LEG 3 — PADDLE Launch & Return: Veterans Park Boat Launch Approximately 2–3 miles. At Veterans Park, racers will transition from running to paddling. Participants will launch a canoe or kayak and navigate the designated waterways to locate the required paddle medallion checkpoint(s). There is no single required paddling route. Racers will use their race map and choose their route to the required checkpoint locations. A canoe or kayak can be rented at the time of registration or racers can bring their own. After retrieving the required medallion(s), racers must paddle back to the Veterans Park Boat Launch. FINAL LEG — RUN TO THE FINISH After completing the paddle, racers will leave Veterans Park on foot and make their way back to Neshotah Beach. Cross the finish line with all required race medallions to complete the Two Rivers Adventure Triathlon!
