This duo is something you definitely won't want to miss!

Debra Renee and George Kay, known as "The Retrofiers," form a musical duo with George on electric guitar, violin, and vocals, while Debra plays bass. George also composes and arranges unique covers with Debra’s occasional input.

The duo began in early 2014 after meeting in 2013, when Debra gifted George a bass guitar, which he promptly returned, saying he needed a bass player. Their initial performances took place in New Zealand during the winter of 2014. They also established Quimper Electronic Systems LLC (QES), producing 40-50 tubeless guitar amps and accessories under the Retrofier brand.

QES showcased at the 2019 NAMM show in Los Angeles, where they introduced their "Solid Tube Technology" ™ to a global audience. While in the Northwest, The Retrofiers hosted open mics and performed at various venues across Arizona, California, and Washington State.

In mid-2021, they moved to the Iron Range, where Debra grew up. Shortly after, they navigated to Two Harbors and started working on their family property! They have embraced the local community in Two Harbors, performing and participating in events at Larsmont Trading Post.
