Friday Learn to Tie Flys
Kick off the weekend with drinks, conversation, and an evening dedicated to North Shore fly fishing.

6:00 PM — Drinks & Meet and Greet
6:30 PM — Visual Program: Fly Fishing the Minnesota North Shore for Pink Salmon with Carl Haensel
7:30 PM — Questions & Break
7:45 PM — Fly Tying with Carl Haensel and Jason Swingen
9:15 PM — Wrap-Up & Saturday Q&A

Learn about the pink salmon run, where to find fish, techniques for targeting them, and the flies that work. Then sit down at the vise and tie patterns to take with you to the river on Saturday. Limited to 20 participants. $30 per person.

Saturday on the water
Put Friday night’s lessons into action with a hands-on fly fishing workshop on a North Shore river.

Carl and the team will provide on-the-water education and help anglers learn how to find, approach, and fish for pink salmon. The exact river and fishing location will be selected based on current conditions and where anglers have the best opportunity to find fish. Don’t have fly fishing gear? Equipment can be provided for participants who need it. Limited to 20 participants. $150 per person.
