Join us at Gerber for a Spring Break Mini Camp!
Gerber Scout Reservation will be hosting a 4 day, 3 night adventure for Scouts from area Troops (scouts 10 to 13 years old) FULL of fun, surprises and adventures. Scouts will explore camp, play games, make new friends and learn new skills all while exploring this beautiful property. Mix in a few crafts, some Range and Target Activities and it sounds like a wonderful way to spend a few days at camp!
The goal is for our scouts to leave on Saturday morning with great memories, a few new skills and Confidence that makes them excited to come back for a full week during Summer Camp.
Participants should plan to check in at the Gerber Scout Reservation Trading Post on Wednesday, April 8th between 11:30am and Noon. Once checked in, participants will drop their stuff in their assigned cabin and make their way to Centennial Dinning Hall. The program will start at 12:30pm, so please let us know if you expect to arrive after 12:30pm. Be sure to have lunch before arrival, the first meal served will be dinner on Wednesday.
Parents are encouraged to join the fun Saturday morning at 9am in Centennial Dinning Hall for our closing ceremony. After the closing ceremony is done, participants will grab their stuff from their cabin as they make their way back to the Trading Post for Check Out. The goal is for everyone to be checked out by 10am.
All Participants should bring their current Health Forms (parts A & B completed) and be prepared for the weather. The plan is to be outside most of the day - packing list to follow when we get closer to the event. All Scouts will go home with a log of any completed rank advancement skills to share with their Scoutmaster and Advancement Chair.
We will sleep inside a heated cabin and enjoy meals provided by our excellent kitchen staff.
Sounds great huh? There's a spot for adults too! Any adult that would like to join in the fun needs to be a registered member of Scouting America with current Safeguarding Youth Training. Please bring proof of current SYT with you to check in.
Space is limited to the first 30 scouts to register. Your spot is reserved when you complete your registration before March 23rd.
