Each week, you’ll learn to paint a different western animal while exploring essential watercolor techniques such as layering transparent color, creating realistic fur and feathers, capturing expressive eyes, and suggesting natural habitats. From the quiet watchfulness of an owl to the rugged strength of a bison, each project is designed to build your confidence while helping you create vibrant, lifelike paintings. Along the way, we’ll discuss composition, values, color harmony, and the unique characteristics that bring wildlife to life on paper.
