Participants will observe harvesting process and participate in hands-on demonstrations of calyx clipping, de-seeding, drying, and processing calyces into products such as teas, jams, and frozen calyces. This field day will also include discussions on marketing specialty crops and social media marketing.Activities: Live demonstrations on harvesting and processing techniques, product sampling, discussions on marketing strategies.Learning Outcomes: Attendees will learn practical harvesting and processing skills, value-added product development, and how to market specialty crops for profit.Location Directions:Some GPS devices might put you in the wrong location - so here are the correct directions .If you are coming from the Auburn area take Highway 80 to Tuskegee, Alabama and continue straight, passing Greater St. Mark Church and Booker T.
