- **Event Description**: Join University of Alabama students of EN 308-003 ("Collaborative Creative Forms") at the Gorgas House Museum on Thursday, November 13 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. for a literary reading to celebrate the opening of their exhibit "History Grips the Walls: Poetry from Campus Ephema". The exhibit features creative works derived from and inspired by primary source historic documents found in The University of Alabama's Hoole Special Collections Library. Students will read original writing and discuss their creative processes starting at 2:30 p.m. Stop by beforehand or stay after to experience the allure of the Gorgas House and view the pieces displayed throughout the Museum's historic rooms.

The exhibit will be on display in the Gorgas House Museum until December 5, 2025. 

This exhibit features original creative work by Aubrey Case, Lexie Payson, Annie Baggett, Elijah Hannah, Henry Allsup, Angel Scales, Megan Millar, Annalyn Justice, Margaret Szewczyk, Michae’ Gaston, Camden Sims, and Sarah Bergen.

Admission to this event is free. However, we kindly ask for your donations to support the preservation of this historic home. Your contributions are crucial for the upkeep of this home and for continuing our educational programs. We greatly appreciate your support.

The Gorgas House Museum is located at 810 Capstone Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487, just off the Quadrangle of The University of Alabama campus (one block west of the Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library, at the corner of McCorvey and Capstone Drives).
