- **Event Description**: The Alabama Shakes are having a homecoming here in Tuscaloosa and we wanted to help give people one more reason to buy a ticket and welcome back some amazing humans that love Tuscaloosa!

On Friday, June 12th starting at 4pm we'll kick off the festivities with a special beer release and live music from Lockhart, Jones, and Elliott a brand new project out of Florence, AL composed of singer-songwriters McKenzie Lockhart (Kentuck Arts Fest Veteran), Morgan Jones (of Cinnamon Jones), and Caleb Elliott (former Alabama Shakes opener). These three friends gathered to co-write a song and it went so well that they decided to write a whole album worth of material and start a band together. Their sound is much in the style of Crosby, Stills and Nash, and Simon & Garfunkel, featuring three-part harmonies and acoustic driven folk and Americana songwriting. They are planning to start recording their first album this Fall in The Shoals with veteran producer, audio engineer and Alabama Shakes touring keyboardist Ben Tanner, of Single Lock Records. 

In a way to say thanks and do good in the world we will also be serving free BBQ sandwiches and chips (while supplies last) with a suggested small donation to the Table of Grace Food Pantry. Table of Grace is an amazing organization that helps so many dealing with food insecurity. Lets welcome the Alabama Shakes back to town with a homecoming they deserve!!
