Cards to Prisoners & Book Swap

For the second year in a row we are partnering with the Abolitionist Mail Project to host a holiday card writing event. We'll be writing cards to folks in prison in Massachusetts to hopefully brighten their holiday season.

Join us Sunday December 7 from 1-4 pm at our home base 104 4th St in Turners/Great Falls. We'll be writing cards from a list of names and all instructions will be provided.

We are ramp accessible and require masking. Come for a bit or the whole time.

We will provide cards and stamps but feel free to bring your own as well. Cards should be plain, without any 3d effects like layers of glued paper or ribbons. Cards should also not have glitter or metallic effects. And envelopes should be plain white. No stickers allowed. Cards that are not specific to any holiday but are seasonal like 'happy holidays' or 'season's greetings' or 'winter wishes' are best. Blank cards that are not holiday specific are also fine.

While this is happening, we'll also have a table for a book swap. Feel free to bring a few books you're ready to pass on and pick up some new ones to add to your tbr.
