Participants of this camp will be introduced to coding and robotics in a fun and accessible way. Design and build your own robot! Learn the basics of coding and solve challenges!

The camp will be led by our Associate Director of Astronomy Outreach, Simon Thill. Simon is a computational astronomer with experience applying his coding skills in research labs across fields such as aerospace engineering, astronomy, cosmology, and biophysics.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

-Learn the basics of coding in Python and C++
-Learn what an AI algorithm is, how it works, and how to use it
-Learn the basic circuits needed to build a robot
-Design and build their own robot
-Program robots to accomplish tasks
-Gain the knowledge and resources to keep exploring at home
