We are very excited to announce this book signing by local author, Jonathan Pharr. Here is his bio and a little about the book:
Jonathan Pharr grew up in the small town of Iuka, Mississippi, where his love for the water first took root along the Tenn-Tom Waterway, Pickwick Lake, and Eastport. Now based in Tupelo, Mississippi—Elvis Presley’s hometown—he escapes to his second home in Gulf Shores, Alabama, whenever he can to fish, boat, and live out his passion for the coastal outdoors.
A US Coast Guard-certified captain and operator of Uniquely Coastal Charters, Jonathan brings his love of the water and a knack for storytelling to his debut book, a humorous and heartfelt memoir about how childhood moments on the water turned into a lifetime of unexpected adventures.
When he’s not on the water, Jonathan works as a director at the largest nuclear pharmacy company in the US, blending his expertise as a board-certified nuclear pharmacist with his love of helping others. A seasoned public speaker with over 1,000 presentations under his belt, he has a natural talent for weaving engaging stories—a skill he’s now bringing to the written page.
Jonathan lives with his wife of 24 years, Kim, their two sons, Tristan and Isaac, and their dog and two cats. In his downtime, he enjoys woodworking, audiobooks, and serving as a deacon at his church.
