Something Queer 2026: ROOTED
The 6th season of the Something Queer Gathering takes place May 8 - 11, 2026 at Deloro Valley in Tuolumne, CA.
s we step into our 6th gathering, we return to the earth to find our strength and reconnect with our history. “Rooted” speaks to the foundational bonds we share, recognizing the queer ancestors who paved the way, and the present connections that sustain us. Like a vast forest network, we draw nourishment from each other, allowing every unique individual to stand tall while remaining deeply connected to the communal ground beneath our feet. This year, we celebrate the enduring power of our shared soil and we gather to acknowledge the history that anchors us and feel the collective strength that flows through our interconnected veins.
Once again, our forest home is calling us to dance, prance, frolic, and reconnect with each other and ourselves. With a little bit of that magic faerie dust, it’s time to get ready to root ourselves in community together.
