Open to performers and audiences of all ages, the Dietrich Theater’s Open Mic invites musicians, poets, comedians, and all types of performers to share their talents on our stage. In celebration of National Poetry Month, this month’s featured guests are Mischelle Anthony, Dawn Leas, and Jennifer Judge Yonkoski with Word to Word, a reading series they created in which poets read “in conversation” with one another by exchanging poems blindly and collaboratively arranging them into a single imaginative sequence. After presenting the twelve‑poem set, the poets hold a brief Q&A exploring its cumulative effect. Mischelle, Dawn, and Jennifer will bring this unique, community‑centered style of shared poetry to the Dietrich’s Open Mic Night.
