A fictional story of a village under siege and one woman’s struggle to reconcile her fragmented memories. 

In Gathering, Samar Haddad King / Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre brings together movement, text, song, dance, puppetry and audience participation to tell a story of love, loss, resilience and the dreams that remain through war.

The performance turns the audience into part of Israa’s community, as she searches for her husband, Ali, and tries to make sense of what happened.

Gathering opens the performance programme of Jaou Tunis 2026.
