Uncrease is Gilcrease Museum’s FREE community arts series spanning March through May 2026. Featuring 29 artists across 6 dates, the program includes live music, workshops, performances, demonstrations, and lectures, with headlining performances by The Tulsa Opera and Tulsa Symphony Orchestra. This series brings diverse artists and community members together to create, learn, and explore the new Gilcrease Museum building. Registration Required.
Artist Programming Lineup for March 26:
• Jessica Pierce - Demonstration: “Live choreography" session - a participatory experience where viewers witness the construction of a short dance work in real time, shaping the choreography by submitting written movement prompts and action words.
• LoDrum - Music and Visuals: AV installation consisting of looped screenings of "Midsouth Infrasound" and "Surface Echo" accompanied by audio recordings of previous live scores, with each piece looping twice over the course of the hour.
• MoCity Tufting - Workshop: Community Rug Tufting Workshop
Live demonstration and large-scale community rug tufting project facilitated by artists Marilyn & Benjamin Augustine of MoCity Tufting. The experience includes 10 minutes of instruction and demonstration, 40 minutes of hands-on tufting by up to 50 participants, and 10 minutes of collective reflection and feedback.
