(APDI – A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed in 1994) dedicated to assisting Tulsa citizens overcome circumstances that may hinder their future success and empowering them to become productive, contributing members of the community - proudly announces its annual fundraiser - The Kings and Queens Honors Ball which will take place at the 36th Street North Event Center (1125 E. 36th St. North) on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Doors will open promptly at 6:00 pm and close at the stroke of midnight.The festivities will include honoring some of Tulsa’s Legends who dedicated their lives to making a positive impact on the community of Tulsa like: the late distinguished historian and community activist Etta Faye Gates; the late distinguished Jack's Memory Chapel founder Samuel M. Jackson Sr., the late distinguished community activist and Radio Station owner Bobby Eaton Sr.; the late distinguished community activist and Oklahoma Eagle owner Edward L. Goodwin,; and other distinguished honorees; a dinner fit for Kings and Queens (severed promptly at 6:45 pm); honorary speakers, live entertainment; photo opportunities; and dancing. This is a Formal Event (dress code strictly enforced).Tickets are $75 and may be purchased using www.eventbrite.com, or tickets and tables (seats 8 ($600)) may be purchased from Ralphs Menswear - 736 E. 36th St. N., (918-704-3933) or UWS Alterations - 5071 N.
