This isn’t your typical campaign training. The Deep Canvass Fast-Track is a hands-on workshop that teaches volunteers how to have real, values-based conversations that move people — not scripted pitches or shallow talking points.
You’ll learn how to:
- Listen deeply and connect authentically with voters who feel unheard.
- Share your own story in a way that builds trust and common ground.
- Turn everyday conversations into meaningful action that strengthens our democracy.
This is part of our “people-first” field strategy — where every door, call, or text becomes a chance to rebuild trust in politics and power in our communities.
No prior experience needed — just an open mind and a willingness to connect. Team Erica volunteers interested in canvassing (doors or phones) should complete Deep Canvassing Part 1 and Part 2.

About the Trainer:
Sarah Baker is a veteran political operative with two decades of political experience and a decade managing state and federal campaigns, developing national strategy, and training organizers across the country. She has led successful fundraising, field, and communications operations for candidates and issue-based organizations, and served as State Director for a presidential campaign. Sarah has built a reputation for running bold, disciplined campaigns that win tough races — and for training candidates and staff to do the same. Her approach blends strategic precision with grassroots heart, creating campaigns that don’t just compete — they set the standard.
