In our Low Tech Repousse Copper Cuff Bracelet class, you’ll begin by soldering two pieces of 24-gauge metal sheet together. You’ll then use repoussé to work an organic texture into the cuff, transforming the metal into a dimensional bracelet.

The project offers a hands-on way to explore how texture and form can work together. Rather than adding a pattern only to the surface, repoussé allows the texture itself to help shape the character of the finished cuff.

This is an intermediate-level class for makers who already have knowledge of soldering and sawing. You’ll build on those skills while exploring a different approach to creating dimension in metal.

Your instructor, Kim St. Jean, is Tucson Jewelry School’s resident artist and has more than 25 years of jewelry-making teaching experience. She’ll guide you through the soldering and repoussé techniques used to create the cuff.
