Get ready for three days of premier golf and unforgettable experiences at the Forty Niner Golden Nugget Invitational! We’re bringing you an elite tournament that celebrates the best of our course, with a weekend packed with competitive play, exclusive events, and top-tier hospitality.
Day 1: Kickoff & Happy Hour – Friday, November 21
The tournament kicks off with a special Happy Hour and Par-3 Kickoff at 1:30 p.m. Head over to the party at the 9th hole to check in, grab your players bag, and mingle. We’ll have music, light snacks, and sponsor tables set up for you to explore.
At 3:00 p.m., the action begins with a 9-Hole Kickoff. If you’re feeling lucky, join the Caddie Races on hole #11. Players can pay a $5 buy-in to watch two caddies race from the tee box to the green with their bags. The winning caddie takes the pot!
Day 2: Tournament Day 1 – Saturday, November 22
Tournament play begins! Players arrive between 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at the front area roundabout for bag drop. Our guest services team will unload your clubs and get them on a cart. Check in with staff, grab a coffee from XLR8 Coffee, and hit the practice range before your tee time.
The inaugural tee-off at 7:15 a.m. marks the official start of the tournament. The first tee time kicks off at 7:30 a.m., with Forty Niner Head Pro, Chris Peshut on the tee box announcing players as they start their round. Throughout the day, you can grab snacks and refreshments “at the turn” to keep you energized.
Once you finish your round, turn in your scorecard to Chris Peshut at the Marketing Office. In the evening, get ready for an elegant tournament dinner at 5:00 p.m. The dress code is semi-formal, and you can bring one non-player guest to join the celebration. Enjoy a three-course meal while we post the leaderboards, with speeches and closing remarks to wrap up the day.
Day 3: Tournament Day 2 & Awards – Sunday, November 23
The final day of the tournament begins with bag drop starting at 6:30 a.m. Warm up with coffee from XLR8 and hit the range before your designated tee time. Chris Peshut will be back on the first tee box to announce players as they start their final round.
After you finish and turn in your scorecard, head to the Players Lounge from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for appetizers and drinks. Families are invited to the Pavilion, where they can relax and enjoy light food and drinks before the main event.
The tournament culminates with the Awards Ceremony at 4:00 p.m. in the Pavilion. The ceremony will feature a introduction walk for the players, with Chris Peshut announcing each person. Awards will be given to each division, as well as the 2025 Overall Champion who will receive a special Golden Nugget trophy. The overall champion will also receive an invitation to next year’s tournament, while other players will need to qualify through select Forty Niner events.
The ceremony is followed by an afterparty with live music and more drinks on the bar patio. It’s the perfect way to cap off an incredible three-day event.
