Bread Baking Hands-On Cooking Class

Interested in baking your own bread, but don't know where to start? This is the perfect class for you! ​During ​this inspiring class you will learn all about yeast, kneading, and all the essential skills to make delicious bread at home. ​ ​

Sample Menu:*

• Whole Wheat Flatbread
• Soda Bread
• Whole Wheat Bread to bake at home
• A variety of toppings will be provided for lunch with breads made in class

* This is a sample menu based on the menu of a previous class. The menu is subject to change based on what is in season/available and the instructor's preference.

Skills taught:

• Yeast basics
• Yeasted levening vs chemical levening
• Proper kneading technique
• How to know when your gluten has developed
• "Why do bakers make cuts on the dough?" And more!

Allergens: Please note that the following common allergens are part of the base recipes of this class, and therefore cannot be omitted:

• Wheat
• Eggs
• Dairy

Additional Information:

• Class fee of $60.00 per participant includes lunch of all dishes made.
• Participants must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Please see our for youth-appropriate classes.
• Cancellation policy: Due to the small class sizes and nature of planning for fresh ingredients, refund/transfer requests made less than 2 weeks before the class date may not be accepted. Note that refunds may not include the Eventbrite processing fee.
