AIA Southern Arizona Women in Architecture and the Committee on the Environment (COTE) have coordinated a fun volunteer group activity on Saturday, September 26 at 8:00 AM. We’ll join Tucson Clean & Beautiful to help increase Tucson’s tree canopy, build stronger communities, and support Mayor Romero’s Tucson Million Trees initiative.We’ll spend the morning volunteering to plant trees in the Rosemont West neighborhood—an inspiring opportunity to make a tangible impact while connecting with fellow AIA members and our community.AIA Southern Arizona members, friends and family are encouraged to sign up and participate as part of our volunteer group. RSVP is required and space is limited for our group.In collaboration with Mayor Romero’s Tucson Million Trees Initiative and funded by the Inflation Reduction Act and the USDA Forest Service, Tucson Clean & Beautiful is dedicated to equitably increasing green space and tree canopy for Tucson’s frontline and low-income communities most impacted by climate change and extreme heat.
