- **Event Description**: Dr. Annalisa Berta, Professor Emerita from San Diego University, will be our speaker at our February meeting. She will be speaking to us via Zoom from California. 

Dr. Berta has written many seminal evolution books including "Marine Mammals: Evolutionary Biology," "Whales, Dolphins & Porpoises: A Natural History and Species Guide," and "Return to the Sea: The Life and Evolutionary Times of Marine Mammals." These are important to paleontologists in Oregon because of the many marine mammal fossils we find here on our coast. 

At our monthly meeting, Dr. Berta will discuss her recent book, "Sea Mammals: the present and past lives of our ocean's cornerstone species."

Everyone is welcome to join us! Membership is NOT required! Before the talk, we will have show-and-tell by members and guests. Please bring fossils for identification and discussion.
