Many people don’t explore painting because they feel that they can’t draw. This is a myth, and you will find out how many professional artists paint without being able to draw. I share tips and tricks with my students so that they have instant success with watercolors to explore their own creativity. You will finish this course with two watercolor paintings that you will be proud to frame and display.

Helping students to discover their hidden talents through watercolor paintings has been one of Vicky’s greatest joys in teaching over many years. She grew up with her mother, who was a watercolor artist and loved this medium from an early age. Though Vicky had a long nursing career, she always painted and studied with great artists such as Joseph Fettigus and Sharon Crosby. She has taught in her home and in art galleries. Vicky is now excited to bring her love of teaching to TPS.

Instructor provides paper, pallet, paints, board, brushes

For class, enter the gallery through the front door and head downstairs. If stairs are an obstacle, you may enter at the lower back level and park behind Throwbax Bar and Grill. If the lower-level door is locked, please knock loudly or call 828-859-0141.
