A mixed-media audio/visual spectacle of a show “Part Daft Punk-inflected Dan Deacon, part DIY-driven Flaming Lips as filtered through Girl Talk” (Austin Chronicle). Solo or a band of synths/guitars/drums/horns/singers playing in sync to everything from iconic or abstract films to viral videos. A crowd-karaoke interactive show which can be viewed like theatre or immersive; underneath a large parachute from kindergarten and a sea of confetti.

Singer-songwriter Corey Matheson has released his highly anticipated new album, “Rid the Darkness,”. Blending the raw energy of roots rock with heartfelt storytelling, the album explores themes of resilience, redemption, and the human spirit’s search for light in dark places.

“Rid the Darkness” is a collection of character-driven songs that follow people navigating life’s toughest moments—fighting through heartbreak, hardship, and self-doubt in pursuit of something better. With gritty guitar riffs, soulful melodies, and emotionally rich lyrics, the album captures the essence of roots rock. Corey will be performing with his band Northumberland as part of the SUBVERT concert series at the Marigold on November 14th.

The first single, “Crazy in Love,” is now available for radio play, streaming and a new video is published to YouTube. With its driving rhythm and passionate vocals, the track is a standout anthem about love that defies the odds and refuses to fade. It’s already resonating with early listeners and is poised to become a fan favorite.

“This album is about finding hope when it feels out of reach,” . “Each song is a story—some personal, some imagined—but all rooted in the idea that even in the darkest times, there’s a way forward.”

After an anticipated 2022 sophomore record, Awolk is back with new music.

With more than 600K streams on Spotify, a growing audience, multiple award nominations, the tunes continue with an EP slated for a 2025 release.

No stranger to touring over the years, Awolk has been across Canada, touring extensively with a band on the east coast and through Ontario.
