Whether in an intimate solo set or a full-band blowout, Ballard brings maritime charm, technical skill, and emotional depth to every stage.

His music draws from a wide range of influences — melding the grit and edginess of 60's blues-rock with the texture and atmosphere of modern psychedelic and alternative roots-rock. Shadow Folk is a Rock and Roll band from Truro, NS. I saw it all with my eye, out Past The Third Mountainside. Band Leader Justin McGrath (Walrus Lead Guitarist) has performed around the world (11 countries) and opened shows for many large acts such as Sloan, Ty Segall, Joel Plaskett, Danny Brown, Wintersleep, Matt Mays.
