In an overview of research projects from a long career in public history, Nova Scotia Women's History Society chair Anne Marie Lane Jonah brings a narrative offering a new view of four centuries of history in Mi’kma’ki/Nova Scotia, both providing new information and a different light on well-known stories.

From 17th-century Mi’kma’ki/Acadie to the Second World War era in Halifax, women’s perspectives, experiences, and accomplishments weave a rich image of Nova Scotia’s complex history — a timely topic on the heels of International Women's Day March 8.
