Operation: Island Independence

For years, Cape Breton’s frustrations had been building. Mines closed, industries disappeared, and promises from Halifax went unfulfilled. Whispers of independence spread through fishing villages and backroom meetings until they grew into a rallying cry: “An Island Apart.”

Now, the tipping point has arrived. The vital Canso Causeway — Cape Breton’s only link to mainland Nova Scotia — has become the flashpoint. Rebel sympathizers see it as the key to their future, while the Canadian Army Reserves are determined to hold it at all costs.

From miners and fishermen to disillusioned soldiers, Cape Breton’s Island Guard has risen to challenge Canada’s control. Across the strait, the Reserves have mobilized to restore order and keep the rebellion contained.

Every victory or defeat will decide the path ahead. Will Cape Breton carve out a future of independence, or will Canada stamp out the rebellion before it spreads?
