# Event Details - **Event Name**: Heart–Brain Coherence Practice - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 06 Nov, 2026 at 06:30 pm – Fri, 06 Nov, 2026 at 08:30 pm (+00:00) - **Event Description**: This gentle practice will enable you to connect your heart and brain pathways in synchronistic and harmonious frequencies to work as one.About this EventThis daily practice increases the gamma brain waves which are responsible for keeping you in an alert and high cognitive processing while being at the same time very relaxed. Our heart operates like a small, specialised brain. It can adjust heart rates, release hormones, and react to changes in the body without waiting for orders from the central nervous system.Usually we tend to follow instructions from our brain as we think it controls our heart, but the reality is that the heart actually sends more signals up to the brain via the vagus nerve than it receives. When you practice deep breathing or feel positive emotions, the heart brain sends smooth, ordered signals that soothe the brain, lowering cortisol levels and stress levels and improving cognitive function. With daily busy lives and schedule, we are all in need of a gentle and integrated practice which in ten daily minutes can restore your balance and equilibrium to face any challenges and bring more harmony, balance, and emotional resilience to your daily lifePractice LeaderMiriam’s interest in a healthy and integrative approach to a healthy mind, body and spirit wasn’t limited to her extensive nursing background. She weaved her allopathic and natural approaches in many fields from being a Reiki practitioner and teacher for over twenty years while introducing other tools to help her and others to live in a wholesome way as well as coping with daily challenges. One of those many tools she feels is really helpful for maintaining a daily led-heart approach to what we face, is using the heart brain coherence meditation which was a natural progression following the many years she dedicated learning different breathing techniques as well as being a meditation facilitator online and face to face. Our venueCommunity Roots is a 1 acre, not-for-profit community growing project with the aim to grow food and community in planet positive ways.
