- **Event Description**: Join creators Julia Bennett and Cathrine Scholar for a comprehensive 6 day regency dress making and bonnet workshop at an 18th Century estate in the charming French town of Chatillion sur Seine. 

 This creative experience gives you the opportunity to learn new techniques while immersing yourself in the beauty of the French way of life. Lisa VandenBerghe will be hosting this workshop at her beautiful 18th century manor house turned Bed and Breakfast , Maison de Chastenay, while experienced teachers guide you through the process of creating a regency era gown and bonnet.  

Experience French lifestyle and cuisine with excursions to nearby attractions and trips to local restaurants. There will also be opportunities to see demonstrations by local craftspeople as well as a costumed tea party and an optional photo shoot in historical clothing at Maison de Chastenay.  

The town of Chatillion sur Seine nestled in the pastoral countryside of eastern France and is an easy train ride away from Paris Gare de Lyon. 

Payments are due in three phases. The cost to hold your space is 767 euros. This amount covers site rental, all meals and snacks, local transport and the salary for one teacher.  A second payment of $225 USD is payable directly to the second teacher by January 30, 2026. Once everyone has chosen roommates, we will bill you for the bed and breakfast fees, due March 1, 2026.  These will range from 30 to 50 euros per night per person, depending on occupancy (double or triple).
