Scripts & Sips: Play Reading After Dark at Bard & Baker

Join us at Bard & Baker Scripts & Sips: Play Reading After Dark Night with Rachel Stewart! Scrips & Sips is a new monthly community play reading night for folx of all ages & experience.

On Saturday December 6th they will be reading The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde scripts. Check in begins at 6:30 pm & the reading starts a 7:00 pm. Roles are first come, first serve so get here early if you want first pick!

Ever wanted to dive into a play without the pressure of auditions, the time-suck of rehearsals, or the impossibility of memorizing lines? Looking to make new friends or improve your speaking skills? Now is your chance! Scripts & Sips is a new monthly night where we bring theatre to the tabletop... literally. No theatre experience required!

Once a month we'll gather at Bard & Baker, order food and drinks, and crack open a script to read together. Scripts will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own copy! Roles are first-come, first-serve when you arrive, with extras welcome to read stage directions or just hang out in community. Actors will read together and have a ton of fun exploring language, voices, and humor of the plays we select. All ages are welcome, but please note that we will often be reading works with adult themes and language, so use your discretion.

This is a FREE event with a suggested donation of $5 to Palestinian Children's Relief Fund (PCRF).
