Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg Decorating

Discover the beautiful tradition of pysanky—intricately decorated Ukrainian eggs created using melted wax and layers of dye. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn a bit about the history of the art form and practice the basic techniques needed to create your own Ukrainian-style egg.

Bring your patience (and your reading glasses!), and plan to leave with at least one finished egg—barring any mishaps with these delicate canvases. Please note that the process involves working with an open flame. All supplies are provided. For adults.
