Luna is a monthly music and arts series in the Capital Region curated by architect and musician Natalie Seagriff, exploring the intersection of sound, space, and spirit. Blending design, performance, and healing, Luna transforms gathering into an immersive experience where musical artistry becomes a pathway to connection.
This month’s featured artist is Connor Armbruster: composer, electric violinist, and multidisciplinary performer based in Troy, NY. Performing under the name Armbruster, his work moves fluidly between traditional music, experimental sound, theatre, and multimedia performance. While projects such as Half My House reflect his deep connection to traditional Irish music and place-based recording, his live performances are expansive and exploratory; weaving acoustic and electric textures into hypnotic, evolving soundscapes.
Armbruster’s discography includes Masses and Can I Sit Here (Dear Life Records). He frequently collaborates with Blue Ranger, Carolyn Shapiro, Joan Kelsey, Zan and the Winter Folk, and numerous other artists.
As Aquarium Drunkard writes, “Armbruster conjures a music that feels simultaneously ancient and new, poised between instant and eternity.”
