In addition, front-man Brian Peters was awarded the Lee Oskar Best Harmonica Player award in the 2023 International Blues Challenge.

And opening (5pm to 8pm) will be the Joe Cowels Band. Singer, Songwriter, musician and recording artist Joe Cowels has been honing his craft with more than two decades of recording and live performance. Joe has learned that the right song, the right note, at the right time for the right person can change their world for the better. Born in New York, he grew up as a multi-instrumentalist, playing drums, guitar and bass, cutting his teeth on an eclectic mix of Jazz, blues, country, pop and rock. "I don't really believe in having hundreds of music categories and dividing it all up into preconceived notions... there's good music to be had everywhere" Joe says.
Over the years he has played in country, rock, metal and pop bands, and even worked on commercial jingles for a time. This wide range of experience has given him an extensive vocabulary to work with and has taught him an appreciation for the roots of music. His true passion however rests in guitar-based music and the timeless blues and blues-rock classics of many of his heroes. He has played all over the country to thousands of people and shared the stage with Grammy award winners, music icons and heroes, local legends and more. Now residing in Cincinnati Ohio, Joe enjoys playing in both his solo show as well as his own band for as many people as possible. He still occasionally does guest appearances, session and studio work, but more than anything enjoys sharing music with the world.
Joe has received an ARAA Gold Record, was featured on the June 2024 cover of Underground Success Magazine, and has appeared in articles for City Beat, Dayton Daily News, Dayton Music Scene, and many, many more.
