Dr. David E. Knauss has a PhD in Music Education from Penn State University, and an honorary doctorate from The Wesley Synod International, Canterbury, England, for innovative and philanthropic music education activities with inner-city school students and Allenwood Federal Correctional Complex residents.  In his three decades of teaching general music in the Williamsport schools, he performed solo piano in the music department's annual faculty recitals, performed the Warsaw Piano Concerto and Rhapsody in Blue with the Williamsport Repasz Band, Rachmaninoff’s second Piano Concerto, Movement 2, as a piano duet, and performed many children's recitals dressed in a suit and wig made from Bach’s 1748 portrait, as if Bach came back to life to explain his music.  In the children’s Bach recitals and at the Allenwood Federal Complex, participants played adapted Bach pieces on Orff-Schulwerk barred instruments.  Of late, Dr. Knauss specializes in the powerful music language of God from subject categorizing every spiritual music activity, music event, and music principle in the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
