Troy Recycles Day is Saturday, November 15, 2025, in the Troy Lowe’s Parking Lot from 8am to 12pm. As you know, this is a free recycling drop off for anyone in our community for our regular recyclables and a range of extended recyclable items which are not included in the City's regular recycling service throughout the year.
Document shredding will onsite courtesy of First Cahawba Bank, Max Credit Union, and Troy Bank and Trust! Remember that shred drop off is limited to ten (10) regular sized bags or boxes per household/organization.
List of acceptable items for Electronics Recycling at the event:
o Small countertop appliances
o Any type of wire
o Metal light fixtures (no bulbs)
o Office phones & cell phones
o Computers, laptops, CPU’s, and computer boards and parts
o Copper, aluminum, and brass
o Gaming systems, printers, and scanners
o Flat LCD/LED monitors and flat screen tv’s only (no cathode-ray tube (CRT), tube, or thick monitors or tv's will be accepted)
o Lead acid, NiCad, nickel metal, lithium ion batteries only
City of Troy Recycling will also be present to take the regular recyclables accepted by the City of Troy year-round, including cardboard, paper, #1,2,4,5 plastics, and clean aluminum cans and steel food containers. For a list of the regular recyclables accepted by the City of Troy visit

Please do not bring AAA-D batteries, CRT or tube TV/monitors, copy machines, large appliances, hazardous waste, tires, fluorescent tubes, light bulbs, trash, garbage, paint, and/or wet/leaking paint cans. These items will not be accepted.
