Managers Safeguarding Training Course
This 3 hour training course teaches understanding around essential safeguarding duties and responsibilities for managers in the private/volunteering sectors of social care. cost is £60pp

•identifying risk and vulnerability to abuse and neglect
•making safeguarding personal and applying principles in practice
•safeguarding duties for local authorities
•the relevance of the Mental Capacity Act
•the importance of partnership working and information sharing
• how to ensure and evidence the knowledge of frontline staff to ensure they are compliant with local policy/procedures and national legislation.
The training is fully compliant with the Bournemouth University Safeguarding standards for Care Managers guidance.
•understand the safeguarding duties and responsibilities in the Care Act;
•understand how to respond to safeguarding concerns;
•explore the difficult balance between safety and choice and control for individuals;
•understand the law around information sharing.
