We’re happy to announce that we’ve moved to a new location in Nyhavna, double the size, with many exciting possibilities and future projects ahead.
Buildher is a non-profit, volunteer-driven and women-led carpentry workshop creating inclusive spaces through hands-on work with wood and reclaimed materials.
We’ve been working so hard for this moment, and after all that effort, it’s time to celebrate! We’re officially opening on March 7th, an important weekend for us and for women’s rights.
Come visit our new workshop on Saturday, March 7th, between 12:00–17:00 for our housewarming event.
Music starts at 13:00.
We’re pleased to collaborate with an amazing woman entrepreneur in town who has supported us for this event. Nabolaget Bagelri will be in charge of the food. This cozy neighborhood bagel shop with retro, 70's vibes, located in Bakklandet, is known for its homemade bagels, cakes, and baked goods made with love. We’re so excited to share their delicious creations with you!

We’ll also have the pleasure of hosting two local DJs who support BuildHER: PETNAT and Dag Olav.
PETNAT is a young and aspiring DJ who mixes music from all over the world. With a passion for travel, she brings vibrant and groovy tunes to the dance floor. Currently, she is experimenting with global electronic sounds, house, disco, and funk. Through her mixes, she creates unique experiences that resonate across cultures.

Dag Olav is an emerging artist from Haugesund with a background in fine art and a deep knowledge of cinema. He works in the arts at the local exhibition space Kunsthall. In his free time, you’ll find him behind the DJ booth, where he skillfully balances and blends music for both laid-back vibes and high-energy dance floors. His sound moves through electronic music with a touch of Berlin inspiration, house, trip-hop, and synthpop.
