Join us at Uthuset for an exciting evening with Rissa Citizen Science, Delphin Ruché and Ismaele Tortella!
We will start the evening with a screening of "Stone Biter: Saving the Arctic Sea Forests", by documentary director & cinematographer Ismaele Tortella. We will dive beneath the surface of Northern Norway’s ocean to uncover the silent collapse of Arctic kelp forests, and the people working to restore them.
After the film, we’ll talk with Delphin Ruché, director of the nonprofit Rissa Citizen Science about kelp forest restoration, drawing inspiration from the ongoing restoration work with volunteers in Tromsø and Øksfjord.
What is an urchin barren?
Why are sea urchins overgrazing their own habitat?
Can we restore kelp forests?
How can we get involved in kelp restoration actions?
We will talk about all this, and more!
Entrance: Free. Doors opens at 19.00.
NOTE: Space is limited. First come first served. Come early to secure yourself a seat! :)
We will sell beer at the bar. Entering with your own drinks or food is not permitted.
ID: 18
Looking forward to seeing you!
