Las Posadas

Save the date!
Friday December 19th at 5pm at the Southern Colorado Coal Miners Museum the Trinidad Las Animas County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Las Posadas.
This picture is from a couple years back. All are welcome to participate, especially children. We have costumes for Mary and Joseph, shepherds, angels, kings, etc..
This is a free event open to the public. There will be a music procession, followed by children and any volunteers that want to dress up. This is a visual of how Mary and Joseph went from in to inn, and there was no room at the Inn when Mary was due to have Jesus.
It’s a beautiful story and there will be a potluck to follow for any volunteers that join the procession. We will dress up at 5 PM and start the procession at 6 PM. The potluck follows. Please call Desiree at 719-845-7839 if you want more information.
